2017 British Championships

A huge well done to all 4 Starlight teams Rain, Storm, Mist and Cyclone who competed at this years British Championships in Nottingham.

Rain were back competing in the adult category this season with new music and new dresses. Rain skated with confidence to ‘Pink Panther’ earning a score of 25.88 coming a close 2nd behind Bladerunners from Altrincham.

This years British was the first competitive outing of Starlight Storm - our clubs new mixed age team. The girls performed to a mash up of ‘Can you feel it’ and ‘Feel it’ which really suited their skating style. Storm presented the program with attitude and style, earning themselves a score of 21.24 in a very tough category.

This was Mists last season of performing their crowd pleasing ‘Entertainer’ program. The ladies performed with class and poise, earning a score of 14.21 from the judges.

A relatively new team of Cyclone girls competed in the preliminary category this year. Although there were only 9 girls skating they still managed to fill the ice and put on a good performance to their ‘Rhythm’ program scoring 11.12.
